What 2-3 calibers would you pick?

223, 6.5CM, 7 Mag. All Tikkas for me. The 223 and 6.5 get all the love along with a T1X. The Mag just sits these days

My bow gets 98% of the hunting days. I got the centerfire rifle battery covered with 3 Kimber Montana’s.....223, 7mm-08 and a .338 Federal. Also like a .22 LR and a .17HMR, mine are Cooper 57M Classics.

This all depends if I keep it levers or bolt action.
Bolt action:
22lr for small game
22-250 for predators
308 win for all else.
Lever action:
22 Henry for small game
30-30 for predators on up to elk
45-70 for everything else.

All depends on your comfort levels and shot distance.

Too much stress trying to decide which 3 rifles I could keep, maybe I could choose 10, but not 3.

If I had just three, these would cover anything that'd I'd do.
1: .220 Swift
2: 6.5 PRC
3: .375 Ruger

These threads are fun! I own way too many but my main 3, if I had to keep just 3 rifles would be...

.Tikka T3X Superlite .22-250 (working on customizing it currently).

.Sako Carbonlight .260

.Custom .28 Nosler

Mine would be and are all Tikkas as well. Living in PA a 308 is more than adequate, but if I lived out west that 308 would likely be replaced with a 7 mag

223 - 8 Twist
6.5 Creed
308 Win

Lots of great suggestions. I asked myself the same question and went with the following:
6.5mm - (6.5PRC)
7mm - (7mm Allen Mag)
.30 - (30 Nosler)

When someone mentions bear, this is what I think of! Rather go bigger than smaller on the top end. Sure a 308 could kill it but I’d rather at least a 338 or bigger, especially when it’s only 18 yards away from my ground blind 😬7295F365-8522-4758-B99C-81947B00F5D3.jpeg
