Bruce you can use some of that vinyl wrap for the quarter panels. Offers great protection and color/patterns are endless. They can install remove it without any paint damage

I'm selling it for 10K. The truck is free...just pay for the lift kit, alloy wheels, new Toyo ATII Xtreme 34s, Nav, Sat radio and aftermarket sound system. It runs great. Been babied since the day I got it.

Has anyone tried multi-coats of Plastidip on their 4X4?

This guy obviously went too thin.

Seems like a better option than Rhino (bedliner) spraying an entire vehicle although the Mythbusters did show it provides some additional protection in low impact collisions and I haven't ruled it out for the bumpers or lower section of the truck.

The red clay in places like AZ literally eats paint and many trails require some brush busting to get through (insert your Hillbilly pinstriping here) so I am contemplating some sort of protection to preserve the integrity of the factory paint. Open to any ideas or suggestions.

I sprayed mine a little over 2 years ago. It holds up pretty good and looks great. It is a pain to clean though. If you spray yours really lay it on heavy on sharp outside corners and under your window if you hang your arm out like I do.truck.jpgtruck.jpg

That seems to be a popular complaint...I'm used to running it thru the carwash. There's a bar w/ billiard tables across the street. <g>

That 24v is a steal at 10g's. When I was looking I couldn't find a 12v for under 10k and all the 24v where 15-20k

Pardon my ignorance but what is a 24v? I assumed you had a typo the first time you posted it and meant 2x4. to me 24v is an inverter reference. LOL

Yeah the earlier post about selling your 24v made me think it was a diesel.

Back on topic I have a friend that bought a 15' F150 and had a shop wrap it in some clear 3M skin. His truck has taken a beating on old jeep trails that we had no business being on due to width. Ill ask him what it was and post back.

Please lemme know...that sounds like a solid alternative.
