Whaddaya think of the new '17 Dodge PW?

On my third Denali. It's a '15 and when my accountant tells me that I need to write off another truck, it will be another Denali.

I need a full size truck and looked at the SIERRA DENALI 4WD CREW CAB, STANDARD BOX...was over 60K w/ options I want. Still not liking the exterior. Always attracted to Dodge for some reason there.

Have you looked at the GMC Canyon, it's bigger interior wise then your current truck. The GMC Canyon also has a bigger payload then the Ecodiesel and is only a few hundred pounds less in max tow capability. It is only 50hp less and 50ft-lbs less then the Ecodiesel in factory config.

Driving the 2016 GMC Canyon 2.8L Duramax diesel [First Drive] – The Fast Lane Truck

Also the baby duramax has been around in Europe for many years so it is a proven reliable motor.

My wife is thinking about a Denali Acadia, pretty dang nice. After owning dodge for many years I went back to GM and won't go back.

45k for a pickup the size of a Toyota... These prices are getting way out of hand. Although 30mpg sounds pretty damn good.

If you pay retail you don't shop, I've found a few that retail for $45k that are marked down to $38k fully loaded but seriously prices are pretty much the same for all brands. A fully loaded Eco diesel that compares to a canyon is $55k+ with less payload, not much more engine performance, hardly anymore towing capability and worse fuel mileage.

Never pay sticker. Although I'd probably never pay 40K for a rig either. Canyon is a lot smaller is it not? I've never sat in one.

No it's a promo pic from rough country. I'll wait till good used ones with 50k miles of city driving start to show up, price will probably be closer to $29k then. I have a 2011 GMC SLT 3/4 ton extended cab short box with a 6.0 currently that gets an amazing 10mpg in town and 15mpg if I'm on a flat surface.

A man after my own plan

The way gas motors are today those that rarely pull really don't need them. By the time you figure in oil and fuel filter changes it adds up more. The DEF is a pain in the ass too.

Another thing that most don't consider is if you are goin off road then likely a diesel isn't the best option to begin with. Unless it's built for it.

Im in the boat of needing a new truck but I can't make up my mind. And spending 55k on a truck hurts my noggin. I want a diesel as I've had enough of pulling with a gas Truck the last 10 years to assure I want more power. But the price tags make it a thought to just buy gas again.

Has anyone tried multi-coats of Plastidip on their 4X4?

This guy obviously went too thin.

Seems like a better option than Rhino (bedliner) spraying an entire vehicle although the Mythbusters did show it provides some additional protection in low impact collisions and I haven't ruled it out for the bumpers or lower section of the truck.

The red clay in places like AZ literally eats paint and many trails require some brush busting to get through (insert your Hillbilly pinstriping here) so I am contemplating some sort of protection to preserve the integrity of the factory paint. Open to any ideas or suggestions.
