Western Kentucky Whitetail

Shot this 9 pointer this morning around 8:00. Got him with an 8mm Mauser that had been sporterized about 30 years ago by my father. My great uncle brought it back from WWII and gave it to my dad when he was a kid. Anyways, this is my first whitetail buck. He's not the biggest, but it's going on the wall, because it's my first.

That is a great buck man! Definitely bigger than my first whitetail...actually bigger than any whitetail I've ever killed. Congratulations, that's got shoulder mount written all over it.

Thanks guys. I shot 2 does with that rifle last year, but this is my first buck. Kinda odd that a hunter from Kentucky has killed two wyoming antelope bucks, but just now gets his first whitetail buck.
