Western Conservation & Hunting Expo 2025 thread

Awesome,

1. Ability to pan and tilt with the legs spread wide
2. Overall build quality- does it feel sturdy with good lock up
3. Leg extensions look like twist lock?
4. Is the mechanism to spread the legs accessible from behind the rifle?

Appreciate the offer to do that. This bipod has always interested me but I don’t know anyone that has one.
I can answer as well.

1. Tilt yes, no pan feature at all.
2. Very well built IMO.
3. Plunger mechanism with micro adjust feature once deployed.
4. Yes although you may have to release pressure from the legs.

They recently changed from the leg pull to deploy the legs to buttons like an atlas.

I have to admit that every time I watch the “auction” portion of the expo, I always have such mixed emotions. Just like I do with sheep week. I always think, man that is great for conservation. Then I think, how much of that actually goes to conservation? And then always followed by, this has become a rich man’s sport in certain aspects. Always shocked how much some of those tags sell for. I often wonder if some of it isn’t anything more than ding dong measuring contest.

I have those same emotions. “Torn” is how I’d describe it.

For those that went, anybody have a chance to crawl inside the Argali bags (besides @realunlucky) and would like to give me your thoughts? Need to buy 2 bags so really hoping to make the right choice.

Hey all,

a few of us are heading down to Salt Lake this week to support the cause. We already know some on here don't, so no need to blow up our thread. It's still a lot of fun to attend this show, and the taxidermy is (y) but the draw odds are (n) but we're addicted.

What booths/gear you want us to stop by?

Can't promise we'll make every one but we'll give it a shot. @Travis Bertrand can't make it this year, first time since we started going in 2013 so not sure how many videos we'll get up! (we'll miss you Travis & family, except Eli and his old man jokes lol). Members at the show, feel free to post up any highlights on this thread for all to see.

I'm heading to Swaro' booth to decide on a Z series scope in the unlikely event my Rokstock rifle lands on my porch in 2025 (lol @Ryan Avery) and no drop-test shaming please @Formidilosus

...And checking out light hiker options from Schnees.

and say hi if you see us. Always good to meet some Roksliders. I'll be working the HOWL booth #5809 Friday at 1230-130 with Marc Smith if any of you are around then.

@realunlucky @Jared Bloomgren @Josh Boyd @les welch @Matt Cashell @Cashman @Tanya Avery @Howl For Wildlife @luckyluciano2
It's a great event and excited about all the good things the proceeds from the show will do for hunters and shooters!
