Over the weekend here in western slope Colorado/UT state line several wildfires broke out around Grand junction area and south down near Ouray. Here in Mesa County 3 NFS wildland firefighters lost their life's and 2 are in critical condition. They were overtaken by the fire. We owe so much to all these fire fighters every season, thank them for their service, shake their hands buy them dinner they are heroes. They really like to hear that. Just last week we had a fire break out within a couple miles of our home. I pulled over to a team getting ready told them be safe and thank you. One was a woman, and I wonder if it was her that lost her life this weekend.
We are in Stag 2 fire restrictions now. The winds just dying down a little today, its been hot, dry & windy and we are just getting started this summer.
