hiked about 2 miles upstream of Pahaska Teepee lodge just outside Yellowstone Park. trying my hand at fly fishing, saw a small black bear and then afterwards, right in front of us, an 8' tall very muscular sasquatch/bigfoot crossed the river right below us. No more then 100' away and just stared at us and disappeared into the willows.

never ever before did I believe in the myth of these creatures but no doubt we encountered. one. too scared spit-less to even reach for a camera and never had one on us anyway. when it disappeared we pretty much ran back down to the lodge. still recovering from this one and no, didn't bother to report sighting to any law enforcement. wouldn't believe us, anyway

You know, there are probably Elk, Deer and Sheep that die of old age that no man has seen despite our advances in technology. The ability of an animal to hide from man, much less an intelligent being, is not too far fetched. I have never seen one and only personally know one person that has.

You know, this comment got me thinking. Maybe for every thread that has been posted in the past with unit numbers, we should start making 3 threads about running into Bigfoot or Chupacabras in those units while hunting. And all of us on Rokslide vouch for the person making the thread to fool internet researches into avoiding those particular units.

For example If I wanted to implement this brilliant conspiracy, I would say that I was hunting or scouting in unit X and came across Sasquatch. He tried to get frisky with me. All WKRs say yea, I know Gary and he would never lie about something like this. Boom we just saved a unit.

No. Then the unit will be overran with Sasquatch hunters. Apparently that’s a thing.
I can see all the YouTubers out there now with their go pros telling stories

The Road and Recreation atlas, a book made of paper vs the latest hunting map apps, has an alleged Bigfoot sighting actually printed as a spot of interest on the map. Score a win for the printed paper atlas haha

The old Red Gazateees used to have little Bigfoot icons near where I hunted by st Helen’s. Lemme see if I can find one…

When does Sasquatch season actually begin, Randy?
Well.............I was referring to general season in that people are all out hunting and not posting threads about, well, sasquatch, unicorns and other "non-related" backcountry discussions.
Now, with that being said......the way I see it.......Sasquatch's are not controlled so the season should be January 1st through December 31st with no limit.

Randy
