Is 17-4 the thread size or the kind of stainless? I would like to know the thread size.

17-4 is the type of stainless alloy, it is extremely hard/durable. The thread size will be dependent on the action that you are mounting to

The mounting screws on a Tikka are 6-48. On a REM 700 they are also 6-48 with the option of using 8-40 if requested.

Nice, I was hoping we’d have some pistol groups… we are equal opportunity, we don’t even mind air rifles, archery and crossbows. As a matter of fact, now that air rifles are legal for turkey in Idaho, I’m kind of fired up looking for a suitable big bore.
