Yes 1/2x28 here’s my sico direct thread on it just last night when I checked my 300wm
Ok cool. I have a tbac ultra 7. What suppressor are you planning to run, or are you not, and how do you feel about the length with the can?

I guess I would also need an adapter because the the tbac cb brake only comes with a .223 aperture in 1/2"x28 vs the 5/8"x24

Oh she’s definitely long as hell lol … I just got my sico harvester evo so I think it’s 6.5” more on a 24”? Barrel

Harvester evo here too, anyone shot there's yet?
I only put 22 rounds of 140gr eldm through mine. 100 yd groups weren't where I want them to be, not sure if off a loaded bipod + the ribbed barrel channel and forend making contact with the bbl was the culprit it was also a less than ideal spot to shoot on top of some hot weather so could've been me as well.

1.5" 4 shot group was what I had when I called it 0'd

Oh boy I got me a display model or something. The whole stock everywhere there's a crevice is laced with bare spots with no coloring. They shipped it with the bolt installed so the bolt tore through the box and was sticking out, missing the muzzle brake which I don't mind as I'm not gonna use it anyway. Oil and fingerprint on the action and such. Safety actually appears to have some wear.

edit: I ASSumed 6.5 PRC would be a short action. Found out when I went to mount the 1 piece rail that I was wrong.

Definitely not the prettiest stock I’ve seen, but it’s gonna get scuffed up and dirty eventually anyways. Other than some color missing the action/barrel/ etc look good.

Dang that finish is pretty bad. I keep going back and forth about getting one and putting it in a trybe chassis as sort of a budget chassis gun but I'm probably just going to get another Tikka instead for just a little bit more

^mine came in just like that in the gaps, probably the reason these are $500. FWIW I emailed SMGA and never heard back (replied to a chain they'd previously been responsive on). I ordered some tan sharpies and cut them to smaller tips, worked great except the color didn't finish well so looks just as bad lol. I may take a black sharpie and outlike the entire groove on each side or maybe I'll just pretend it's not a problem. The bare white spots are just so loud I had to mute them somehow.

Yeah, I agree. They probably should have written somewhere that they are factory blems or something like that. Not a huge deal to me as I don't like the look of the stock anyways, but it would have been nice to know beforehand.

Edit: I also just emailed them on a chain they were responding to. I asked if these were factory blems and if so if I missed that before ordering. Besides the stock everything looks pretty perfect so not a huge deal.

Mine is also in the same condition. I think I will throw some black Testers paint in there and color fill the grooves.

A little update as I emailed both SMGA and Weatherby today. I told them both just an FYI I and others had some finish issues on the stock.

SMGA apologized and asked how I would like it handled and Weatherby wants me to send the rifle into them. I am kind of impressed at both of their quick responses. I may be lending out a few deer rifles soon so can't really afford to send it back and wait some months. Have an out of state deer hunt sooner than later as well. Plus, its just cosmetic.

I told them both that I just wanted them to be aware of the finish issue that came out on this model. Probably will just end it there.

Yeah I'm not sending mine in, it's meant to be a cheapish rifle that still shoots well and I think it'll fit the bill. I'm gonna do some shooting on Monday and excited to see how it shoots. Lots of guys replace the stocks on these anyway. I won't be, actually kinda like the fit for me and it's not a bad scheme to go with the barrel color. I'm definitely gonna goof with more sharpies or paint for those grooves though. Lol
