Weather proofing a camera?

Wondering what everyone is using to keep your camera protected from the elements while out in the back country....specifically protection from rain or snow.

I have been keeping my camera and lens in a belt pouch for quick access. If wet weather comes around I put them in two ziplock bags each. I imagine there has to be a more elegant and effective solution.

My camera is waterproof. Seen guys use a ziplock.

I went to a waterproof fuji so i wouldnt have to worry about it.
