I've got 4 mule deer points for Colorado, and I was thinking about putting in for unit 74 for the fourth season. Just wondering how the Snow accumulation is?

Past couple of years it hasn’t been to bad. It seems as though we have been getting storms around 2nd or 3rd rifle and then 4th is pretty mellow. But with that said it can absolutely dump that time of year so be prepared.

OK thank you very much. The weather can definitely be unpredictable. I have four mule deer points. I'm just trying to figure out a good unit to burn them on.

La Nina years will tend to be lighter accumulation in the Southwest. If its an El Nino "Modecki" (That's a transitional term), that will favor the biggest snow years. That being said, we are in a La Nina year and had a rather big snow event during late October this year and more snow during 4th Rifle. The vast majority of the years, there is enough snow in the high country by 4th rifle to have pushed migratory deer down to mid to lower elevations. Bigger snow down low will concentrate them even more.
