I'm looking for waterproof lighter recommendations. I've tried a few and never really cared for them, too bulky, too undependable. I resorted to carrying a Ronson Jetlite or occasionally your basic bic. I carry a lighter everyday and would prefer a dependable easy to carry one. Thanks in advance.

I have tried a few different kinds of refillable butane lighters. I am also back to using a bic. They are lightweight, inexpensive, and they work.

There’s a “pyro putty“ thread here on RS that covers lighters pretty well.

Pyro putty will light up when nothing else will, electronic lighter with some awesome fuel.

ExoTac TitanLight is a great lighter, I use mine anytime I would have used a Bic. Keeps the fluid for months with no evaporation or leakage and only occasionally will need a top off. Nice high flame allows me to light my wood burners with no problems.

Zippo. They make tiny pelican cases to fit a zippo or Vic lighter and maybe cotton balls and matches.

Bic in weather resistant case for emergency use. Fire steel in the other case. Daily carry with keys.
