I’m looking for recommendations on a giant waterproof duffel mainly for carrying gear in a roof rack.

Thanks

Check out rockagator. I got a 70 at the show and it's legit.
Idk if he has giant ones.
Bridgetfabel has some kind of coupon code.
Check her YouTube to find it.

I second the Ortlieb due to the shoulder straps. We also use NRS duffles for rafting and they are bombproof.

I have 2 kuiu taku 9000, and I love them. Durable, waterproof, easy to move around.

Hey man, how would that KUIU bag do on the roof rack driving through rain? The website says water resistant. That may be my option, I get the 10% veteran deal and last time I ordered they didn’t charge sales tax. Thanks

I threw mine in the back of the truck from Las Vegas to Montana and back. Hit rain and snow both ways. It has a kind of plastic coating (or made of ) type of material? not too sure but i would not be afraid to put on the roof rack. They also have carry handles, and they would work great to run a tie down through to strap to the roof.

What's your opinion on its durability as checked baggage on airlines? Thinking the 9000 may be too big for a week fly in hunt

I would use it as checked baggage. i though one 9000 was huge, until i filled it, but i put my pack, boots, shelter, quilt, trekking poles, tripod, jetboil, everything beside my optics and rifle go in them

I don’t know if Seal Line makes a “giant” duffle bag, but I have a ton of waterproof rafting bags that I’ve collected over the last 30 years and IMO, the stuff that Seal Line makes is pretty tough to beat. NRS also makes some really nice bags.
