We need a holster attachment for back of bino harness, like AGC ,
They have some mesh pocket there which I utilize, but I would love a pistol carrier to mount up on the back side of that mesh and tie in some how.
If I attach it to bottom and let hang, its just too busy for my liking.
I currently have pistol in the mesh pocket with a mini bungie strap and keeper to snug it up, but the mesh pocket is all but full now.

If you got a design you want me to take a look at sewing let me know.

I will and then I'll let you perfect it as usual.
id think it could be situated for side draw or top draw (which in this application I prefer) just by adding tab loops to all sides and let user orientate it as needed but would require mesh on 2 sides

Ill run out to the shop and look and shoot you my crude drawings as usual.

Just a simple cordura pocket 4" X 4" with top open and with a mesh backing to accommodate various pistols and 6 tab loops sewn at perimeter to attach to bino harness with customer supplied 3 bar sliders

pics coming.
if ok I will put them on here and maybe some one could modify them and we could collaborate together to get this right.

No one will be carrying a "juge pistol in here. That's not saying it wont be a huge caliber. lol
but its size will be approx. the size of 9mm-45 mm S/A

Originally though of this but I think a simple 4x4 pocket with open top and some elastic binders and the tab loop attch system will be sufficient ?

seems there is a struggle to find that perfect set up to carry a pistol in the mountains.
I have done it on my hip belt, but.
1. don't want the weight on the belt
2. don't want the space on belt taken up by pistol
3. want pistol on my person , sometimes when I shed the pack, it gets left on the belt and holster

I don't like it below the bino harness as it becomes a massive system
I don't need another set of shoulder straps either.

I just prefer it behind the harness, as on me, the harness tips forward any way so it has always ridden fine.
The bunjie set up works to hold it and allows easy draw cycle with one hand.

But I lose most of the mesh pocket space
In there I carry lens pen, Trioxane, lighter

so an additional pouch/pocket would be great

Probably could use some slik clips too either sewn on or just clipped through pretty easily. They make ones that clip on both sides (no fixed loop) as well.

Anyways easy enough to sew, esp. if sized to leave it flat in terms of sewing vs actually forming depth into it. I've not picked up any mesh to date so I'd need to figure out the right style/thickness of that if that is desired.

Doesn't have to msh, but does need to be flexible for varying pistol sizes. I will say the mesh on the bino harness, isn't very durable for what I doing to it, with my pistol in there- it just wasn't engineered for that.

So maybe the same stretchy you used on my other items (RF pouch)

Those clips in your pick would work great as well
Do you need the measurement on the tab loops off my AGC harness, or do you have one?
Id really like to get a few of these and use them even on my pack for other things, where I have the pals webbing.

Id like about 4 of these
2 in CB 2 in RG

personally I feel they also need some sort of retention system over the top to aid keeping pistol in pouch. Maybe like what I am using or similar?
Like your water bottle retainer, except for the pistol rear slide area?

Anybody that has bought a ranger green holder for an exo pack, does the ranger green color used for the water bottle holder match to the ranger green that is used by exo?

The ranger green on the eco pack is slightly darker on the cordura but the stretchy material is lighter colored than the bottle holder and exo cordura. Hope this helps answer your exomountain gear question.

What colors do you have with the pals for a Kifaru?
He keeps post #1 of this thread up to date with current inventory. If I remember right though, he can make from ranger green, coyote, black, blaze orange, foliage, and multicam based on the cordura he stocks.
