I located this tom in a remote canyon last week shed hunting with the dog

went back today and found him in same spot. Took about an hour to close the deal. Dang elk kept wandering in the area and spooked him while was calling. about 12 inch beard. Ran into over a 100 elk today while hunting.

Congrats. Did he talk back to you at all or come in silent? I've been over towards colville, and the Toms go nuts on the roost, but around 7 they shut up for the rest of the day. I've been getting my butt kicked all season. Good on you for filling your tag.
