Good day,

New to the group and sorry if this has been posted.

Looking at using the Warbonnet Superfly as a ground shelter for 4 seasons hiking, hunting etc. I am up in Alberta and looking at having the ability to use a stove in the colder months when needed. I have a lightweight titanium stove and the superfly is nice and light weight.

Has anyone done this and what were your thoughts on the set up.

My overall plan is to use the tarp for backcountry hiking then hunting season.

Have an awesome day and Thank you!

I have the Warbonnet Ground Tarp and love it. I don’t have a need for a stove, but if I ever did, I’d get someone to sew an opening in for me.

As long as the superfly makes a good seal on the ground, you’ll be fine. Some of the hammock specific tarps have a curved cut on the edges that make keeping the draft out difficult.

Thanks, I never thought about the curved edges that would affect it!!.. Warbonnet makes great gear

I put a LiteOutdoors stove jack in my tarp shelter. Great way to go for a 1-man plus gear setup.
