So, what’s your thoughts on the new Walther RS3? https://walther-rs3.com/en-rs3-models/

Overall I’m sure it’s going to be heavier and more expensive than I want, but I do like the concept. The straight pull bullpup, lets you put a full length barrel and suppressor into a shorter package then even your typical cut barrels w/suppressor. Don’t have to sacrifice ballistic performance, still get the form factor. Suppressors alway make the gun front heavy, moving the action rearward balances this. Makes allot of sense.

I like the concept and hope we see more of this from different manufacturers. A barebones lightweight mountain version of this concept would be awesome.

Where is it available? And what is the price?
I haven’t seen any specifics for the US yet. In Germany it looks like it’s going to be priced starting at around $4500 USD including suppressor (converting from Euros). Although apparently, they will have to manufacture the suppressor in the US for the US version — no idea what that does to the price. So definitely priced as a high end rifle.

This rifle definitely caters to European style driven hunts in its design. But the whole firing mechanism is essentially a single integrated chassis system. So wonder if they will come out with a modified stock design for the US market.
