We’ve been having groceries delivered to our home by Walmart for a couple of years now. Periodically, we noticed items we ordered, and paid for, were never delivered. So we started tracking the items paid for vs the items received. The closer we tracked, the more we realized was missing. Sometimes, there are so many items missing, an entire bag or two of groceries is missing.
I don’t know if it’s a mistake on the part of the Walmart employees or if the delivery drivers are helping themselves to our groceries and hoping nobody notices.
When we do know items are missing, we call Walmart and (after struggling with the maddening customer service robot) we get a store credit.
Is it just me or has anybody else noticed this? if I had to guess, I would guess the delivery drivers are helping themselves to groceries. The missing items always seem to be the higher cost durables like soap, shampoo, etc.
We’re thinking about switching to Amazon for most items and buying milk, fruit, etc at the local stores. Does anybody have any experience with Amazon groceries and could they recommend it?
Thanks
