Hey y’all,

Bought a 10x14 Springbar Skyliner and will be spending about 15-20 nights in it over the next two months between rifle elk and deer in Colorado. This will be my first time using a wall tent/flexbow. I’ll have a wood stove, cot, power bank, and camp chair. For those that car camp or use wall tents, what creature comforts do y’all bring?

Would appreciate any suggestions y’all can send my way. Thanks!

Like Mainbeam said, a good sleeping pad would be my first want. After that:
-camp table is nice to have
-wader hangers to hang boots from the top of the tent to dry them out
-lantern of some type, I use a rechargeable one in my wall tent
-pour over coffee (non-instant).

Best of luck with your hunt

A good pad for your cot, pillow and sleeping bag rated for the cold. Plenty of water. One item I made from a weed sprayer is a camp shower, can sure feel good after a couple of days.
Those are good tips thanks. Did you do anything to warm the water for the shower? Something I’ve been wondering about.

Thank you. Do you have a recommendation on the lantern? Pour over coffee is a good idea.

I've got a similar setup for a camp shower, I just heat a pot on the stove and add it to some cold water in the shower. Add more until it's whatever temp you want. The trick is to know about how much water you need total, so you don't end up heating a gallon more than you actually use.

The classic Coleman lantern that runs off white gas is pretty great, lots of light, good runtime, and the actual lantern should last forever. Or a propane one if you've already got a big LP can.

Thanks. That makes sense. Do you run a shower tent or just shower outside the wall tent? Figured I’d just bring swim trunks if I have neighbors (which is likely where I’ll be hunting).

Shower outside. Rarely have neighbors, and if someone wanders by at the wrong time, I figure that's more their problem than mine.

I cant remember the brand but I have a couple of lanterns from Harbor Freight, they have worked well. A small generator is nice to ensure you have power to keep everything chraged.

I like the a Coleman lantern, either propane or white gas. The LED lanterns are bright to look at but don't really put out the light I need.
Plus side of a gas lamp is it also warns up the tent

I have a super lightweight piece of outdoor carpet that I roll out inside my Kodiak 10-x14. It's 12' wide so it's only a little short by about a foot on the width. But that's ok because that's under where the cots sit and you don't step there anyway. When camping in the cold, it sure does add a little comfort to take the chill off that cold rubber floor! Folds up after I roll it and really doesn't take up much space when packing

That’s a good idea, thanks. I’ll take a look.
