Good morning all, I live in Georgia and have been an avid bowhunter for years. Like many others, my bucket list hunt is to take a bull elk with a bow. Due to living where I live and other reasons, I have decided to go the outfitter route. I have been making phone calls to different wildlife biologists in Idaho and I have considered Colorado, but I know they have switched to a draw. The convenience of going with an Idaho guide service is guaranteed tags, so I can plan effectively.
I have looked at Rawhide Outfitters and McGowan Outfitters, both seem to be reputable. Has anyone used either of these?
My buddy also looked into Rocky Mountain Outfitters of Colorado, but again there isn't a guarantee of getting a tag for 2028.
Hunting is hunting, and archery is a mental game of inches, so I know there are no guarantees, but I would like to give us the best possible chance. Any advice , counsel, or outfitter recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
