I guess your footwear would depend on where you will be hunting and the time of year. I've been on 6 moose hunts and didn't use or even take any type of waders. This question would be best answered by your outfitter.
The 3 Montana moose hunts I just wore high top hiking boots, although on one hunt while I was cutting the limbs off of a pine tree for the ridge pole of my wall tent, the short handle axe bounced off the tree and cut bone deep through my White's logger boots into the arch of my left foot. I finished hunting that week wearing my camp tennis shoes.
I wore Muck boots on my Newfoundland moose hunt,and 8" Danner boots on my Northern Alberta moose hunt and my SW Alaska Brown Bear and moose hunt.
