Well though I got my shuttle t's hitting there was still just a little lingering left in them I couldn't get over. Granted it wasn't much but I'm a little OCD when it comes to stuff like that. I picked up a pack of wac' em 12'5's today just for the hell of it. I figured my bows ready to go for the season as is with the shuttle t's so there's no harm trying these and just seeing. I've never shot them before, pretty much always shot shuttle t's but when I let one fly all I could say is "whoa" so another, and another and through all my pins and out to 80. These things fly BETTER than my field points! Holy snikees! Well I'm going to buy another pack and make the switch. Did the tuning work with the shuttle t's but it's like night and day as far as arrow flight goes. If you haven't already check um out. I will say they don't look as tough as the shuttle t's but I retire a broad head after it's gone through an animal any way. Kinda nostalgic that way I guess.

The one thing I would caution you on is the blade retention. If they get loose on the end of the arrow youre more than likely going to lose a blade or two. Seen it happen first hand. Other than that one gripe I think they are a good head.

Would some blue loctite help with that?

Yeah I can see that being a gripe, and even an issue with practice heads. hunting heads however don't see as much use until it's go time. Has me thinking about maybe using one of the light lock tights on my hunting arrows. One that you can still unscrew with a little pressure

When I tested almost ALL of the broadheads out there a year or so ago on a hooter shooter machine.....the Wac'em flew the closest to field points out to 100 yards than any other head. It was also the most consistent.

Purple loc tite would be an even better choice. Designed for small threads. WAC'EM makes a great head, guys here in the eastern part of the country don't realize what they're missing out on. Heck even the XL's shoot great as long as you are broadhead tuned.

Has anyone had experience using these on heavier boned or just tougher than whitetail animals? Elk? Hogs? The only reservation I can find about them is that they're a bit fragile and blades are vulnerable. But EVERYTHING else I read about them is great (except assembling them, so almost everything:) )

I never used a Hooter Shooter but I figured out the same with my bow about 7 years ago. Excellent flight.........my "go to" long range fixed blade head. I also use the 4-blade Exits. My daughter gave me a pack of the Exits for my birthday in July 2007 and shot my bull with one of them in September that year. Great heads, and the blades sharpen up real easy with a Lansky.

A friend of mine has taken several bulls with them. I will only be hunting elk with my bow this year as my other tags are rifle so that's what I'm throwing these at

I Am from Michigan and have been using them for about 7 years, awesome heads, I have shot many deer and went thru a few bones and have never had a blade come out, I will be using the 100 GRAIN Exit on elk this year.

Yes, went thru the shoulder blade. Found the front of the arrow, all the blades still sharp an intact.

Nice. Looks like a similar set up to my arrow. 300 FMJ with a 125 gr head here. They hit hard and kill fast with shuttle T's Looking forward to using the WAC em's this year

I'm thinking of switching mine to your setup after this season. I am currently running 340's with 100gr heads. My bow has 80lb limbs and am new to archery, and now think I'm under spined. But to close to the season now.

Would love to see the results of your test on all the BH to see how they stacked up against each other in your test. Did you write a article or thread write up?
