Vortex Razor vs Athlon Cronus vs ?

I'm looking at the older model Vortex Razor and comparing to the Athlon Cronus. Any thoughts here or something else I should consider in this price range? The Razor is $650 - not a bad deal. All 65mm. Also considered the Athlon Ares and Vanguard Endeavor.

Just buy the Ares and be done with it if you aren't getting a Swaro or something similar. I wrote a review on the Ares and there's a ton of guys who've bought it and loved it and shared their positive experiences.

I just got an ares and it’s legit. Comparing it to my buddies gen 1 razor, I think the ares is a little better.

Is the ares and the cabelas krotos the same glass? I have an 86mm krotos and was wanting to upgrade as I don’t love it as much as others love their Athlons.

The 86 is huge. I had the 65 and it was good, very similar to the ares and compact. I think the krotos is made in the same plant. I sold it and have the kowa now.
