Vortex Fury 5000 AB

Why you all so set on Vortex? Lots of much better options on the market now. Is there something magical about Vortex I don’t know about?
Honestly curious.

I own the Fury AB's, and have had Leica 3200 (3 miserable failures), Sig3000, borrowed my buddy's GPO, and even tried Nikon's Laserforce, several at the same time. To be short, I'd buy the AB's again in a heartbeat.....great RF in any condition, glass more than adequate past legal shooting light, excellent build quality, backed by CS that's second to none.

Generally I’ve avoided all vortex products, but this last year I got a vortex razor 4000gb and it’s generally met or exceeded all expectations I’ve had for it. I generally would have to say the opposite about the sig 3k I had before.

If I can get a pair of range finder binos that match my zeiss conquest for image quality, have all of the range finding quality’s of my razor 4000(with ballistics), along with a warranty that doesn’t expire in an year or two I will make the jump to these binos. I also think that they will have a very competitive product.

Some people are rich rich and some really don't like vortex. Personally I have no issues with them as my niece and nephew's 6.5 prc have the viper scope on there's. Its actually pretty clear and not bad of a scope at all, shots and tracts well. A lot of people give vortex a bad name. I have used some Vortex stuff from others and not bad. And for lifetime unconditional warranty, I mean, how can you not like that. The few videos I seen of the Ranger binos were decent and seemed fairly clear. I went ahead and ordered them and some new pelican vault cases. Cabelas/Bass pro have a big hunting sale right now and the cases I believe are definitely worth the sale price. And i need a tsa case anyway for an upcoming hunt out west.

Let us know how the laser performs. If it’s anything like my razor 4000gb I think you will be happy with your choice.

I hope Vortex hits a home run with their new one. Competition is great for the consumer, driving innovation from manufacturers. They need to incorporate good glass, something as good as Applied Ballistics, and a very fast solution to the shooter.

They will be coming out. 9-12 months away. But practically same price point as the Fury. I mentioned it in earlier post.

Received the Ranger 3k. Just did a little focus/testing around the house. I will say for the price point I got them for, it was a great purchase. Glass is clear. Rangefinder was quick and easy. I was able to range out to 800 yards and instant readings. Only issue I had was the sun glare at times. But regardless. For the working man and the price of 600 or less, I would highly highly recommend them. For what I need them for and not break the bank. If word gets out its a sell out. Now if they made this same one and added the geo ballistics, boy oh boy would that be a great buy.

Have you looked through a pair of Fury 5000? If so how does the glass compare between the fury and the ranger 3000?

I have a pair of Vortex Fury's, two pairs actually (one is for sale in the classified). I just ranged 991 yards from my office window on a tripod, cloudy day, range object was a group of trees. Normally, can't get much out of my office window, except tree trunks or solid objects. Today, I got 824 and 991 through office glass - pretty wild to me. Glass is for sure serviceable.
