OK i'll try to loosen them more. I had the forefoot pretty loose but the ankle and two upper eyelets somewhat snug (not tight though) to keep my foot from sliding around. I have skinny & bony ankles with a wide forefoot so I often have heel issues with boots.

I have the same foot shape as you and struggle with the same issues in all other boots. I keep my vivo boots pretty dang loose.

For those sporting Forest Tracker ESC in the mountains, are y’all using their thermal sole?

After my ankle lace hook pressure with the Forest and subsequent return, I would regularly visit Vivo and gawk at the Magna.

I finally ordered some a month ago when my 5yo need some new shoes and they arrived yesterday along with some Deacon lows for everyday street wear.

Holy bananas and cold brew coffee batman! These Magnas are the best thing I've put on my footsies. My running gaiters cover the wool portion so I will be good to go for mountain time. These are awesome and I will probably order a pair in each color.

I hear you, I bought a pair of Gobi’s to go along with my trackers and I never want to take them off.

I wish they'd make something with the rubber rand (like my vivo winters) with the sewn on michelin sole combo and I think it would about be ideal for durability and comfort for an all around boot.20230420_170906.jpg

That should be songs of praise and jubilation with his next dog named after me!

I do have a better discount code that I might be willing to share with a few folks.
Totally. How do you pronounce it, so I can practice calling my next dog. Do I yell out "Sand Man One One!", or "Sand Man Eleven!"? or something else?IMG_0041.jpeg

I've been trail running in Altras for years, and bought a pair of Xero shoes for everyday wear about 6 weeks ago and have worn them all day everyday since. Zero foot discomfort or issues. Pulled the thin "sole" out of an old worn out set of Altras for wearing on hikes, also zero issues. I'm going to order some Tracker ESCs for hiking/hunting going forward. What other steps should I take in my "transition" to minimalist footwear to get my feet ready, or just throw them on and go but still take it easy at first?

Additionally, what minimalist shoe/boot would you recommend for property outside & beating up on slopes? A lot of my property is steep.

Sorry. As soon as I posted that, I thought "that was terse and rude" and *thought* I had edited it to infuse some humor and sarcasm. But stupid work got in the way.
I knew the context.

Someone used "my" code today, I assumed it was you...maybe it wasn't.
