N560 is too fast burning for the heavies. Guys have been having really good results with N570, even in short barrels. @TxLite did a work up in his 18” barrel with N570 and had impressive results

I’m at 66gr of n560

Tried em again. 66.5 gr was 2930 +/- which jives with what it should be given 22" barrel.
Only shot a couple but ES was 12 fps.

I got more speed with less powder after resizing my brass. I ran 100 pieces of new Peterson around max good velocity then was way over pressure after resizing. 65 is all more mine likes now with 162s a gold medal match magnum primers. Thought about using a couple match large rifle just to see. I know the reloader 23 seems more consistent with it

Interesting - did you happen to take h20 capacity measurements of your new cases verse your once fired cases?

It’s most likely because for the first firing on new brass, some of the pressure is used to fire form the brass to your chamber. On subsequent firings, it doesn’t have to move the brass as much so pressure and velocity go up.

Thanks, appreciate both of you responding so quickly. I’m just now preparing a ladder using gunwerks virgin brass, n565, and 175 eld-x’s. 24” proof carbon barrel (first shots besides factory testing, Sig Sawtooth). New member of the forum - lurked for a couple weeks and found great info. Excited to contribute.

I'm shooting a Bergara Premier HMR in 7 PRC, loading Berger 184 Hybrid Targets with 68.7gr of VV565.

Got out to do some break in on my sawtooth 24” carbon barrel with 175 eld-x’s and n565. Groups were meh with five 10 shot groups at 100 (1” to 1.5”). Virgin gunwerks brass. Going to walk up to 70 now that I have some fireformed brass - chrono results below.
