I have blink cameras on all my doors and facing my shop. Plan on getting the doorbell one sooner or later. Last week cameras caught a guy taking pictures of stuff around my shop. called cops and they had good enough footage to get a good description and cops to locate him.

I'll need a battery powered one.

Is the ring 3 the best? Or would a different brand ?

I have six cameras around outside of house and one doorbell camera. Can watch any of the cameras live on my phone and they record about 30 days before overwriting. Cost a little more but I am very happy. I paired it with a simplisafe system with motion, door and window sensors, two common area indoor cameras. Think on both I spent almost 1000. Alarm goes off I get notified and I will call the police if needed. No monthly fees.

I’m not a fan of ring because they own the video and can give to authorities without your approval. I need to find a system where the video is local to my house.
Check out the Eufy Doorbells, the video is stored on the device with no monthly fees.
