My recommendation? Make sure you're not hungry on the table.

I don't eat breakfast, but man, I'm starved by the time lunch rolls aroun. My precedure was for 11:30. Doc get's my nuts numb, does the ol' snick and snick, and starts cauterizing.

Suddenly I'm smelling roast pork at the chinese buffet and my stomach starts growling. Doc chuckles. Took me a moment to realize I was the bbq.

Other than that, no problem

Interestingly enough I work in a lab and can do the follow up testing myself which seams convenient.

My buddy said they taped his weener to his belly for the procedure and the worst part of it all was when they pulled the tape off.

Yeah they aren't gentle about that party lol

The worst part of mine post procedure was when I’d get out of the shower & put underwear on without putting neosporin on the incisions. The scab would dry to my underwear & I basically had to peal it off stuck to my underwear. That wasn’t comfortable & happened a few times! I was pretty uncomfortable the 3 days following the procedure but was covering miles turkey hunting with zero issues 8 days post snip.

They told me I needed to get it to the lab with 45mins. I live 35mins from the hospital. Mad dash hoping I didn't get stopped for a very awkward conversation with a cop.

Just hope the nurse is gentle and doesn't grip and rip lol

Was I the only one that was offered a kit you can take home & send your sample in via mail? Totally eliminates the return visit to get tested & if you fail they’ll send another kit & you send it back again in a couple months.

I got cups to take home and an address for the lab to drop off. Thankfully they're open Saturdays. 1hr time limit to drop off

Less than 15 minutes to have the procedure done lol

Yep! It’s a quick one. Fired off 3 a day for 30 days, had sample checked, and done…..all at the ripe age of 28 years old. lol! Eighteen years later and still happy as a clam.

Sure, to be clear I am not trying to shame other men about something already done. It is so commonplace today why would anyone think twice?

But it is surgical manipulation of one's body for the purpose of having childless sex. It falls in a similar category to porn IMO. We are made in His image and I think it is clear that 99% of vasectomies are for serving our plans and not His.
Hope this offers another perspective for men considering one

I got mine 26 years ago. Procedure wasnt bad but I failed to follow recovery instructions.
Got an infection and that caused recovery to be painful. My advice is do what they tell you to do.

I respect your opinion although I don’t agree with it at all. I’m sure different religions & denominations of those religions as well as simply different interpretations can change how sex for pleasure without openness to procreation is viewed. The way I see it is sex within marriage is considered beautiful, encouraged, and pure regardless of the possibility of procreation.

Having sex for pleasure with a long term partner/wife is not, nor should it ever be seen as a problem. To think otherwise is just absurd.
