I walked into a lGS today and saw a Std. Vanguard 6.5 PRC. Someone bought it, put rings on it and it appears the rifle was not shot and appears the rings never held a scope. I bought it for $475.00 out the door. I don't like the fact it is not threaded and the solid bedding on these new ones concern me, esp. for bipod use, despite the 1MOA guarantee.

Yes, it was impulse, I felt like I should try at that price.

So Vanguard users, did I mess up?

Nothing wrong with vanguards.

almost every rifle these days can shoot moa or sub. If you have one that doesn’t it’s probably a lemon.

a lot of people get caught up on sub-sub moa but moa at 1000 yards is a dinner plate. That’s better than I can shoot out if any rifle.

Heck no, you got a bargain! If you don't like the stock, call BC and ask for one of the leftovers from their Wilderness/Backcountry run.
