Did anyone check out the vane testing in the June issue of 'Peterson's BowHunting'?

Basically they tested almost all of the short 2'' vanes out of a shooting machine and compared them. A lot of neat info on how each vane performed. The measured: drag, retained energy, spin rate, & even did a 20/45 yard group (with Muzzy Trocar and Innerloc Falcon broadhead)

Cool test. Well worth picking up this months issue.

It was a good article with alot of great info. I wish they could have found a way to test noise in flight and also resistance to holding deformations. I really don't like when a vane rests against another one and from then on has a permanent curve to it.

Ya, I saw it. I did my own testing several years ago, that's why I continue to use the 2" QS Speed Hunters. The only problem is......they changed their ST material at some point as well as the base on them. Used to have a wider base, they were impossible to pull off even with pliers. They'd rip and tear before they pulled off. Now they do occasionally come off when you hit one. And I get tears in the material sometimes, that never used to happen. Used to put a lot of holes through them, now they tear or come off when I shoot groups.
