Uukha Weight Rating Problem

I'm very new to the trad/ILF world and wanted an opinion on this one. I ordered 50# Long Uukha Mazaalai limbs but the weight rating seems light and I'm now considering to open a warranty claim.

I’m only getting 50.1# OTF @ a 29” draw with a 17” Satori. I was hoping closer to 54# given 1lb per riser length and 2lbs per 1" above 28". Even tiller was achieved with top bolt maxed and bottom bolt turned 1-1/8 out.

I understand the tolerance for Nature is +-2.5lbs which gives me a range of 51.5-56.5#. This makes it seem out of spec compared to the Uukha calculator.

What have others found with Uukha Nature limbs on Satori's and stated weights vs DL & riser length?

In hindsight I should have just ordered Sigma limbs for a tigther tolernace because I did care about finished weight.

Call em up, or call the vendor you bought through. That weight seems fairly close to what I would expect, but only calling Uukka will let you know if they agree.

@nevadabugle So what you're saying is the Satori doesn't have very agressive deflex in the limb pad angles vs say a DAS or CD WF17?
Yes. I always mess up reflex vs deflex in my mind, but some risers put more preload in the limbs than others.

I have no experience with the WF, but my DAS riser has more preload that my Satori riser. Its not dramatic or anything, but in your example it may give you an extra pound or two, which would put the limbs in spec.

I bet over on TradTalk Forums, you can find guys that know the actual limb pad angles of the most common ILF hunting risers.

The opposite. The satori is a pretty deflexed riser. I always lost 2-3 lbs on it versus something like an Optimus /f261, Gillo ghost, etc. Those are all 19”, but still.

One more thought.

What he said. He is agreeing with my input and why i used preload over reflex/deflex. The satori is a mild riser compared to some. Less preload means less draw weight.

Think about it this way, tightening a limb bolt gives more poundage and more preload. Loosening a limb bolt reduces poundage and preload. Some risers are machined with more or less preload.
