Uukha Weight Rating Problem

Exactly, limb pad angle matters- as much as 5# IME.
@Blackcow is giving you good advice in his posts.

I also agree 51# vs 54# in your situation is insignificant. Plus, you don't need to shoot a heavy arrow to get penetration with a recurve....just an efficient BH design.

Look, before Ashby came along, there were decades of trad bowhunters that were using 7gpp and 8gpp arrows for hunting- and they did fine. Guys like Howard Hill and many others. They knew the advantages of flatter trajectory- less misses and better shot locations.

I'm shooting 50# with a 420g arrow and it's a killer. I don't know why the predominant thinking of current bowhunters think heavier is better. I suppose if you only shoot 20y shots it really doesn't matter much...but get out on a 3D range and it sure does. None of the top shooters I know shoot a heavy arrow.
That makes sense. If I hunted over 20 yards I would use a lighter hunting arrow, but at the low poundage I hunt with I want to milk every ounce of energy out of me bow, so I hunt at 12 grains per pound.
