Utah wolf - provo canyon!!

Just a gentle reminder guys, joking about shooting at animals on forums has gotten people in trouble. Wolf or not, authorities check the social media.

What about drifting the car a little to the left? That would be ok, wouldn't it? :)

It could have been a hybrid wolf/malamute mix. I do not know all the details, just that lots of people jumped on the wolf bandwagon without getting story behind pic. The area where picture was taken is not far from city and is in a very popular area for lots of people to hike, bike, run, etc. If it was in a more remote area I would be with most the guys on here and let the air out of a big coyote.

The photo was emailed to a close friend by an officer in a large conservation group based in Utah. He was quite concerned. My friend forwarded the email to me. Both of the people who emailed it - I consider very reliable sources. Don't know how much research they did on it before forwarding. I've seen a LOT of wolves, and in an open season I would not hesitate to smoke that thing. Looks like a Juvenile wolf to me.

I can personally confirm the location of the photo - I've been on that road a number of times... It leads up to the Timp archery range.

The person that Coop is referring to doesn't know who took the picture. I have spoken to the person with the conservation group. Does anyone have any other information about the source of the picture as it would be nice to confirm the story behind the picture? This animal in the picture could be any number of possibilities and it would be nice to confirm as much as possible about the animal. If you know anything that could confirm what "the deal" is, please send me a PM.

Thanks, Todd

Call the local county animal control and tell them there is a stray Malmute in that area. See if they can catch it...LOL

One other thing to think about... unless it was recently "lost" I think that canine would be significantly skinnier. I know I've seen and found dogs that have been lost and even after a few days they start looking worse for wear. Of course this is all speculation at this point...
