The OTB gained a 4db on average reduction. Very interesting when compared to the Raptor 8. I need to verify if the OTB comes with the can or is it after the fact.

Form hasn’t tested a Raptor 8 with reflex.
I am aware. I’ve read the other evals. I am working to determine my next can. I have standardized on TBAC and am disappointed they publicly are unwilling to consider OTB and replaceable end caps. I know my next can will be an OTB reflex and am weighing options. As noise Reduction is my primary requirement for 90% of my shooting.

Yeah, I understand that. After doing some more comparisons, particularly for unweighted sound values, I’ve been more impressed with TBAC’s overall performance. What amuses me, however, is how many people complain about certain cans that appear to test well. Cans that test relatively well in A-weighting don’t always do well on Z-weighting. The differences between cans’ A- and Z-weighting appear to be non-linear. But cans with better A-weightings sound better to us.

Based on comparisons of sound reduction (A-weighting) to length/weight, the Reaper looks very good with the OTB option.

This is likely to change though as we finish the desing.
Thank you for the update.

Now I’ll go on an insanely silly rant about tone, weights, the size of Walt’s A$$hole and phrenology

I’ll buy you lunch if you know what movie that is from.

Enjoy the day. This is good news and thank you for the effort. Many of us are quite happy you’re willing to put in the time and resources.
