After pulling apart the last 1/2 dozen deer I’ve killed, I’ve decided that the 6.5cm has more ‘killing efficiency’ than actually required.
So…. I’ve been tossing up between having a new barrel in either 22cm or 6cm put on the tikka. I’m happy that the 22 will give me all the ‘killing efficiency’ that I need, and looks like it’ll give me a better wind bracket than the 6.5. I want to get into a 6mph bracket, and also get down to an 18” barrel. Will the 22cm launch an 88 eld-m at that 2950-3000fps from that barrel length?
Is that velocity achievable at reasonable pressures? I’m not interested in single use brass
