A while back I posted about my new Iron Will arrow builds, a 250 spine setup, 550gr TAW with Iron Will Single Bevels up front. (28.5” shaft, 75gr insert, 25gr collar, 150gr broadhead).
I tuned it in and felt good about it both walk back; broadhead, and paper.
Wanted to share my real world results….
Opening night, shot the biggest deer of my life. 30 yard shot from a hang on stand, buck walked in broadside, arrow flew true and straight. Hit spine…. Had to deliver a finishing shot. But, upon butchering, I was impressed to see that the arrow went all the way through the spine, and through opposite shoulder blade. It proceeded to snap the shaft as he rolled around unfortunately. Head looks like new…. I’ll touch it up and toss it back in my quiver.
Following weekend… I was up in stand less than 5 minutes and a big doe walked out, again 30 yard shot, perfect shot arrow zipped for a double lunger.
Just wanted to share, I’m super impressed with the performance of these arrows and especially the single bevel head.
