I have bird hunting buddies, weekend hunt buddies, and weeklong hunt buddies. They all go through the first 2 layers before they get to the last one. Not many make it.

He did, I think he was bummed we came up empty handed but that’s just the way it goes sometimes. It was definitely a wake up call for him to experience a different type of hunting besides a weekend deal from a cabin or campground. The weather was another challenge he hadnt experienced yet with our hot and dry seasons in California. Think I need to squeeze in a solo trip locally this closing weekend though, might be the only trip by myself this year.
