Call Kota precision and see if they will do a 375 reaper and the new grim brake for you?

That's a cool idea and something I didn't know about. But I wonder are they going to do destruction testing too? And if there's a problem, who's responsible. But at that point with a 6-in reaper bored out to 375, I might as well go with the S length Magnus RR which is still in stock.

We should have a 8in 338 reaper out 8/1. Not my decision but if there’s a demand, Cliff might be willing to do some in 375 as well… The 8 in 338 is very impressive so far and still working on more protos. Just an idea if you want something longer? If we won’t have anything that works for you, TBAC is good quality for sure as well if you can find the one you want.

An 8-in Reaper in 375 sounds perfect and I'd buy one for sure (granted it's a tiny market and I might be the only person). I have heard that TBAC is great, but the Reaper would be 3D printed, have a removable end cap / brake, and probably less expensive than the full size Magnus ($1800). I'll wait and see what you guys do. Thank you Cory.

I would not want one with a brake.

I would personally. I ran my 375h&h suppressed with no suppressor brake and stout handloads. I ended up just putting the brake back on.

Yes! Can you tell me about that set up?

Started as a Sako 85 Kodiak barrel was too long for suppressor so I put a 18” barrel on it with a Tbac supressor and brake. Nf atacr 1-8. Going to change it to Nf 2-12 sfp. Shoots 270 gr swift a frames fairly well. lol. Getting close to being ready to head across the pond.

Cool, but I think what folks are looking for is a short big bore can for cartridges that push big bullets without a big magnum case full of powder. Like an 8” 4/4 OG 375 (or whatever bore). An 8” forward can is a bunch of length on a 350 legend or even a 338 federal, 358 win etc.

I don’t run any of this stuff but I know they aren’t giant powder capacity like the big 375’s etc. I’m not promising anything because it’s not my decision but if there’s a decent demand and it’s something reasonable, I’m sure it could be done here at some point so it’s nice hearing feedback/ideas.

The AB Raptor 8 and 10 exist in .375 caliber to do the long muzzle forward role with a reflex option. I’m using the 10 on my 18” 9.3x62s. While the length is manageable and the weight is good, I would be happy with a shorter option.

Assuming it could be made to be a decent suppressor, I would be most interested in a 5+4 or 4+4 configuration. I don’t particularly care about weight for a large bore suppressor, but I’d imagine around 8 ounces would be nice.

A .375 caliber 6” Reaper with a reflex option would also be interesting, but it would have to be markedly superior as a suppressor to the options already on the market. That superiority might be achieved through providing the option to swap out end caps to provide better recoil control for some of the stouter cartridges.

Did you get your NHS in and have a chance to shoot it next to your other two setups? I'm quite curious about the behind-the-gun experience comparison between these now having seen the recoil sled comparison done by Outdoor Life and others. I'm probably going to end up just buying a brake end cap for my existing Nomad at this point, but I'm still curious about the comparison.

what I want is a 358 bore that’s probably a 4/4 under 10 oz, can handle up to a 60g powder capacity cartridge. I would go 375 if that’s all that was available. Might be as simple as the new OG bored to 358. Also needs to be able to handle a .810/.825 barrel. Maybe go to the reaper diameter so cleaning is easier with the slightly larger barrel clearance.

Iowa is 35 cal and up for deer, so lots of 350L and getting to be more 35 whelen. I have a few cans in 35 cal already, but shorter and lighter would entice me to get another one.

I’d be in for a few in the .36 cal OTB cans if that ever came to reality. Hell even if only prototypes. I really want them for my 35 whelens and 358 win. to keep barrel lengths down and maintain balance. Obviously 3” muzzle forward like my OG6 would be preferred but I’m sure it’d have to be 4” on the 4/4 setup but that still would be amazing and perfect. I think with the minimal .36 cal options in hunting cans and the popularity of the 350 legend and now the 35 whelen with it meeting hunt requirements in more areas with caliber restrictions they would be popular.

Unknown did a one off 45cal Reaper for that 45-70 they did in the snow camo. They had it for sale at the shop and did a couple of Instagram posts with it. It CAN be done.

Sorry it took so long to get back to the thread. I will say I really like the nhs. The recoil impulse is definitely quicker, and feels more like a break than the slow push of a supressor. To me, I think this translates into more felt recoil by a very minor amount with the nhs. With the nhs I feel like I get back on target quicker and see more of my impacts. I need to get more rounds on both, but I fully intend to run the nhs as my dedicated comp can. The nhs is louder than the scythe with recoil x to my ears, I can say that pretty definitely as I shot both without plugs, for science. Weight savings and length is a huge benefit of the nhs running a 24” bbl.

On the 375 topic:
My vote I think would be either an OG-L that’s bored out to .375, printed to accept up to a .820 barrel at shoulder instead of 1” (more internal volume vs regular OG-L), removable and shim able 2+ port muzzle brake, 5/8 threads, maybe lengthen to 5 or a bit more in front of threads to deal with larger bore (if needed)
or…
375 Reaper option (6” most likely) w/ HUB mount and Reaper Reflex (4+ inches OTB) and same removable muzzle brake as above
… both able to handle 18” barrel 375 Ruger/H&H.

Give the people modularity in a 375 bore that is rated for the shorter barrels in a classic magnum cartridge and you’ll cover a lot of straight wall, 358, 9mm, and Africa ready (375) customers all at once.
