Unknown suppressors OG testing

The cans I really want to see Form test are the AB cans. They don’t have any published data I have seen.

I could cut 3" off any silencer and it's going to be louder. Taking length and volume off a silencer and showing how its louder isn't really the "gotcha" moment I think you were looking for.

Apologies. How is maintaining the same rifle OAL length and being 7 dB quieter a gimmick?

Or compared to the DD STi and AB Raptor 8- it being 2+ inches shorter OAL, smaller diameter; and being quieter for the former, and the functionally the same dBA as the latter- a “gimmick”?

I’m not sure what to tell you- there is the exact same TBAC UL7 Gen 2 fired right beside it.

The reflex helps quite a bit.

You have posted nonsense from the beginning. Every single video has a TBAC UL7 Gen 2 shot right beside each can, unedited, and the TBAC lands right in the zone that it should: 129-131 dBA SE.

I assume that is a dig at my perceived lack of objectivity. Which, if meant in fun, I will admit made me chuckle a bit.

But, I feel compelled to point out that even a can that loud (and utterly useless to me) would not be the worst can tested at the 2024 TBAC summit. And, if those results could be replicated in the TBAC summit setup, would have tested quieter than some cans nearly twice as long.

Raptor numbers were pretty good, better than the OG, without the reflex with 2” less length.

Yes, the Raptor 8 is 2” shorter than the OG in total length. It is 2” longer extended from the barrel.

The Raptor is “meant” to be used with the reflex.

The real benefit of these numbers, IMO, is the comparison to other cans shot in measured in same way at same time. Not the raw numbers.

In that same test the ultra 7 was 128.55. Form got 131.2 (ie +2.65 in his conditions). So you take a raptor 10 (with a reflex) at 123.14 + 2.65 for condtions and it's 7.32 less than the raptor 8 w/o a reflex. I do not finding it surprising at all. If you watch the videos AB put out in the past 2 baffles was a few db and a 3" reflex was like two baffles.

Why don’t you just go outside and shoot your raptor 8 and OG and see which one is louder , then compare to these “tests”

Thanks. I guess I need to watch the AB videos. I have consistently been annoyed with AB for not listing ratings on their website. But I do like their cans.
