The cans I really want to see Form test are the AB cans. They don’t have any published data I have seen.

This is for @thinhorn_AK since he said that OTB is bullshit.
This is the OTB section of the OG removed- so, just the 4” muzzle forward section.

Where did I say it was bullshit??? (Hint:...never) I said It was a gimmick and it is because it's not something that improves performance, it's just another mouse trap. If you're going to tag me in stuff, at least tell the truth.
I could cut 3" off any silencer and it's going to be louder. Taking length and volume off a silencer and showing how its louder isn't really the "gotcha" moment I think you were looking for.
Hmm.. that seems really high for the AB Raptor 8. I'm a bit shocked by that result. I've only used my Raptor 8 with the 3" reflex on it, which probably makes some difference. In 2023, the AB Raptor 10 w/ 3" reflex measured 123.14 at the TBAC summit.20” barrel 308win, M118LR.

Especially since the OG sounds exactly like my raptor 4 w/ 3” reflex ….Hmm.. that seems really high for the AB Raptor 8. I'm a bit shocked by that result. I assume that is a dig at my perceived lack of objectivity. Which, if meant in fun, I will admit made me chuckle a bit.I guarantee you can sell that to the frequent poster in this thread and he will tell us all how rad it is.
In that same test the ultra 7 was 128.55. Form got 131.2 (ie +2.65 in his conditions). So you take a raptor 10 (with a reflex) at 123.14 + 2.65 for condtions and it's 7.32 less than the raptor 8 w/o a reflex. I do not finding it surprising at all. If you watch the videos AB put out in the past 2 baffles was a few db and a 3" reflex was like two baffles.Hmm.. that seems really high for the AB Raptor 8. I'm a bit shocked by that result. It was highlighting a lack of independent logic and ad nauseum regurgitation without an understanding of the content.I assume that is a dig at my perceived lack of objectivity. Which, if meant in fun, I will admit made me chuckle a bit.
Why don’t you just go outside and shoot your raptor 8 and OG and see which one is louder , then compare to these “tests”Hmm.. that seems really high for the AB Raptor 8. That is always the case for anyone that has been listening to any honest manufacturer talking about values. The real benefit of these numbers, IMO, is the comparison to other cans shot in measured in same way at same time. Not the raw numbers.
