Unknown Suppressors NHS Review

Punchy is a good way to describe it. That's how the Magnus-K is with the Recoil-X. Magnus with factory brakes is more a push but not straight back like the X or NHS. The later configurations keep you on target better, though.

Right on, waiting on the atf makes me realize how impatient I can be lol. Looking forward to trying it

I would say punchy as well. I only tested prone and kneeling one bag on the tripod. I’ll test it out a bit more next weekend. It’s nice that it’s lighter and shorter than the scythe. Likely less prone to blow itself up too haha

Nice, lighter, shorter and dedicated to comp shooting is what I was going for. I like to use my scythe on other rifles and swapping the recoil x off and on is annoying

What do you classify as Midwest? I’m in Mn and should have one out of jail in a couple weeks
Nice, I hope you like it and share your experience.

My hope was that there’d be one at a NRL or PRS match close-ish to IA that I could try out. Ideally some A/B testing against a recoil-x setup.

I know the NHS is 6.5mm, but are there any caliber restrictions? Couldn’t find it on the website but was curious about using it in 6.5mm or smaller magnums.

I was fortunate enough to get a cert from a prize table so I grabbed an NHS. I’ve put about 100 rounds through it in the last 2 weeks so not a ton of experience so far but all shooting has been positional. Single bag, tall bipod rear tripod, tripod shooting. I think it’s a bit of a compromise compared to a brake but in my opinion it’s well worth it. The impulse is similar to a brake just a little longer. Still plenty easy to spot impacts on a 14lb 6.5 creed. I will continue to use it and will likely not go back to a muzzle brake. The only thing I wish is that it had a 7mm bore so it could be used on a 7saw that I would like to build.
