As I sketch out the plans for my custom build, I am wondering what some hidden costs are that I may not be aware of as a first time builder? Below are the parts and relative prices for each item:

- Mesa Precision Summit Ti Action: $1400
- Mesa Precision Carbon Fiber Stock: $600
- Hells Canyon Armory Summit UL Barrel: $800
- Mesa Precision M5 Bottom Metal or Hawkins Oberndorf: ~$165
-Trigger Tech Primary Trigger: $175

This brings me to a parts price of $3,140, but I am able to get a small discount on some items due to a First Responder discount. Just wondering what some of the costs are that I may be missing? Besides having the action and barrel bedded, and maybe blueprint the action (is this needed on high quality actions?), I am thinking I should be coming in somewhere around $3K.

FYI, I already have bases and a scope for this rifle.

$350 or more to chamber, another $100ish to thread the muzzle. $100sh back and forth shipping to smith. $30 or more for ffL transfer for just the action to a dealer.

Yeah you have all the expensive parts now add another $1000 - $1500 for gunsmith labor, all depends on what you want. Unless you are going to do the fitting, bedding and painting of the stock but don’t expect any guarantees in accuracy if the gunsmith doesn’t do it all.
