Unique Taxidermy Displays - What Do You Guys Have?

Is that ocotillo in the bottom? If so, what are you doing with it? My daughter saved some from NM and has in a vase, she plans to run some lights through it.
It’s actually old dried out cholla cactus - don’t really have a plan other than leaning it were it is. I’ve picked up a bunch and have given quite a few to my taxidermist and he uses them in scenery and pedestal mounts

Chollos, oh how I hate those.

I don’t have anything unique but my brother found a moose paddle that something had been chewing on. He wants to get a porcupine done and make it look like it’s chewing on it. I hope he does it one day.

I’ve been slowly filling in around the antler legs with other sheds I’ve found as well just don’t have any pictures on my phone right now.

I worked on a project using this real bark siding which got me thinking I could use it on a mount. Not sure how I'd go about it quite yet.

If you have any ideas, shoot.

Some of the pieces are roughly 16"×16"

I think that would look sweet behind an old dead head, especially unbleached and maybe a little beat up.

I stole this one from a blog I follow in my home state. In Michigan we are given about 4"x4" kill tags. They're kind of a heavy duty sticker. You notch out the date of the kill, sex, and how many points each side has. Most use either a zip tie or a short piece of rope/twine. After notching the appropriate info out, you fold the sticker / tag in half across your zip tie or whatever ... and attach it to the carcass.

Pretty neat plaque for a Michigan hunters European mount...

That is an itty bitty deer. Coues?

I've been wanting a javelina half body partially sideways to show off one side of the collar. It would be expensive because it takes a full body form so I guess it's good that I haven't shot one yet. I'd get a jaw set and euro at the same time. I used to have a picture but can't find it now.

My first attempt making something like this. Turned out OK I think. Used an old fence post i found.

That looks really cool. I assume you don't have a dog? 😂

Also that top buck is sweet!

Some really cool stuff in this thread!

I have a couple backpack mounts, too. The elm frames match most of the wood furniture in our house perfectly, and our bedroom floor.

This one is probably my favorite. It took me 2 tries to get it. I shot a nice 8 point early in bow season, but the taxidermist said his neck wasn't big enough for it. I shot this one about 5 weeks later, during the rut.

I'd have to figure out the mounting and maybe trim out the edges.

8’ piece of barn wood will fit 4 big euro racks. Took 7/8” oak dowel and sanded to fit into back of skull for custom fit then bore the dowel into the board. The skulls fit nice and flush.
