Two years ago we were able to build a house on some property that we have owned for quite some time. Now that I am finally finishing up all the necessary house projects, I can start building some furniture and taxidermy displays. We had to disassemble our outhouse when we put in for the permit on the new house and of course the packrat that I am saved all the wood from main structure, not the wood from the pit. I built the below display out of the wood from the outhouse as well as an old cedar fence post from our property. All of these bucks were shot on our property so each one has a memorable story and more sentimental value than a Boone and Crocket score.

There are 3 avid hunters in this household now so we are starting to get a pile of bone. Looking for your guys cool unique ways to display different animals. Next on my list is one of the old wood pack out frames with either a pile of sheds or a rolled up hide and head. Possibly build a coffee table with shed antlers inside but looking for all sorts of ideas both furniture and wall mounts.

I shot a small buck with 1/2 inch spikes on a brown its down meat hunt I was on years ago. My smart azz cousin skull capped it after I went home and mounted it on a plaque. I havebit on the wall.

Buck from 24, trapper pack frame and a antique Navajo blanket.

Lol, I skull capped a pronghorn doe I killed with ~1" horns. I was going to put it on a plaque but never got around to it.

Designed, cut, assembled and finished the stand; drew up the state graphic with contours at kill spot and had a local engraving company laser etch it on the wood. Euro'd the skull - buck cartwheeled down the draw and I had to reassemble it due to it being crushed up pretty good. Totally worth everything to me:

Mine is more simple, but shares a lot of memories. I did a Euro on the muley and fastened it to an old piece of Sweet Gum sapling, that my grandfather cut and hung in the hallway of his barn, which was built in 1951. I remember hanging halters and bridles on it, when I was a kid.

Love the Topo line engraving! Gonna steal that one some day

When I built the addition on to my house and Trophy Room I also replaced all of the existing kitchen cabinets. I used some of the old kitchen base cabinets to make an "L" shaped bar in the trophy room. The corner cabinet has a "lazy suzan" rotating shelf, but there was an empty triangle on the outside corner that turned into a protected show case for my pheasant mount. I put a light with a two brightness switch in the top.
