I had Maven sent it to a friend in the US, who packaged it up with other items and shipped using the most cost-effective option - so the shipping cost was effectively split across different purchases. NZ also seems to have relaxed charging import fees and GST, unless you use FedEx or DHL, so I didn't have to pay those extra charges. I also have an LE/EM/MIL discount, so all up, mine was less than NZ$2k landed. The Aust retailer is about $2300 plus shipping (not sure how much) but site says this includes GST, so about the same as if you ordered direct from Maven but ended paying Customs and GST.

Where are you at? If you're in NZ, import one, and don't like it, I think there'd be a lot of people here who'd take it off your hands ... and I'm likely one of them!

T3x superlite with 3-9x40 trijicon accupoint and UM micro 1" rings about as close as a scope can be to barrel with out touching it, they seem quality. UM seems like an awesome company their Canadian distributer was on break for a week so they got a pair of rings sent to me from Merica in 3 days, thanks guys and awesome product.

Will the UM low rings work with Aadmount scope caps on a Maven RS1.2 on a Tikka with a Proof carbon barrel? I haven’t seen a picture when going through the threads to see if there is clearance. Do I need to order mediums?

Did you ever find out an answer to your question? I have the lows and RS1.2 but didn’t buy the caps yet. I Have .131” gap between the bell of the scope and the barrel on a Tikka Veil. I know it’s not the same but if I can’t get decent performance out of this barrel then I’m swapping to a Proof.

Picked up a pair yesterday at UM (very friendly in there) and got them mounted up tonight. First thing I did was turn the plastic plug screws in an extra turn because I could feel them slightly sticking up slightly proud and didn't want the ring to rock. I used the forward threaded hole with the front hole in the ring, and the rear smooth pin hole in the middle hole of the ring and I think the positions are perfect with my SWFA.

I picked up the level as well and have been playing with positions. Not totally decided yet...

D.M. How are you liking that scope? What reticle are you running? Any issues with the UM rings and setting up proper eye relief? I have the Tikka and the UM low 30mm rings.. but torn on scope selection. The SHV is one of my top contenders.

I like it still.

I wanted a bulletproof setup I didn’t intend on shooting past 400 yards, and I do a bit of hunting in the north GA mountains so I wanted to keep it light.

Have shot the setup from 25-250 yards.Also just took it to Wyoming and harvested a pronghorn at ~200 yards at 6x and it was plenty of zoom.

Reticle is the forceplex and it’s just a standard duplex. I didn’t want “too much” on my hunting rifle and this clean reticle fit the bill.

No issues mounting. The main tube is short, so you don’t have a ton of room to work with but I found the relief to be just fine. I think I only used 1 of the 2 provided pins which gives you a little more flexibility on ring location.

Only knock on the scope is the lack of adjustable parallax, however the effects seem to be more in my head than they reflect on paper. Still, I think I would have taken parallax over Illumination if given the choice.
