Reading, for my uses, it is sounding like an AB Raptor 8 hits what I want more.

The UM can looks really interesting, and once it is released I will keep an eye on it and see.

Knowing what I know now, I would have bought three AB 8s instead of all the BS cans I have now.

Like Form has stated many times, the UM can is purpose-built and will not be for everyone, BUT it's gonna be sick on my shorty 6CM.

Knowing what I know now, I wish I’d have just bought a big honking quiet can from the start, with the expectation that purpose built hunting cans are going to get shorter and lighter and quieter.

Most of my time is spent practicing. So my older do-it-all, one can for everything 7” cans seem to long, to heavy and to loud now, and basically obsolete. A old heavy big 9” can would still make me smile 90% of the time for years to come. Or an AB Raptor something, if I’d known about it.

I’ll probably get the new UM can if it’s below 140DB and be happy with it for field use.

I would have bought 3 wolfhunters, but they didn't exist when I bought my other cans. I'm not sure why I bought 30 cal cans when I haven't owned anything larger than 6mm since 2007.

To what distance does the tone of the suppressor matter? Sub 300? I shot a bull three times at 400 yards with a 223/TBAC ultra 9 and the cows 20 yards down the hill from him didn’t move until he started sliding down the hill.

My buddy shot 6+ times at a cow at 500 yards with a 6.5PRC/TBAC ultra 9 and the other cow and calf she was with looked up a few times but kept grazing up and over the ridge.

I’m sure cartridge plays a roll so let’s say 6 creed and below.

TBAC ultra 9 is a badass can. My step dad has one. It’s so quiet when he shoots it on his 6mm rifle

I think the only difference between a wolf hunter and an enticer sti is the last 2 baffles and end cap. I put a 556/6mm end cap on my enticer to make a poor man's wolf hunter. Subjectively it seems quieter but how much, who knows. I think you can do this with Nomad cans, also.

Unless form is communicating with us from another plane of existence then he aint the oxi clean guy (billy mays).
That guy died a while back (2009 I had to look it up).

I love my Raptor 8 with 5” reflex. It balances so well.

Of note rifle on the left has an 18” barrel with banish 30 gold. On right has 20” barrel with raptor 8 and reflex. You can see how much more gas space you get with raptor, and both guns about the same length

Still very happy with my 8-stack with the 3” reflex. I think it has beat every other sub-9” can that I’ve shot or seen shot for sound levels and tone. Keep considering buying something different, but all the other options I’ve seen don’t really measure up. But the UM OTB can might be my huckleberry for use on a 223 bolt gun.
