UM/S2H/Suppressors/Scopes and More!

I briefly read through the thread and didn’t see the answer, but will it have interchangeable end caps for various bore diameters?

This can was made for specific uses. While there is some nonsense in this thread, it’s worth reading to understand the reasons.
I like the can. I like the reasoning and ideas behind it and seems like it will suit a lot of needs. Just seems like interchangeable end caps could help with some suppression on smaller cartridges and have availability for a brake end cap if folks want them.

But I do understand it would be a little more machine work and would increase cost

I’m not a koolaid drinker.

That said I have never change an end cap on any of my suppressors. Can’t imagine I could tell the difference.

The dB reduction from smaller end caps is not noticeable- it’s small enough that it’s simply not worth dealing with.

As for the brake- this isn’t the can that requires that. If you need a brake, you want a larger can- with few exceptions.

The only time I’ve changed was on my hybrid when shooting 45 acp/458 socom. I left the 46 cal cap on and shot my 300blk and noticed a dramatic difference in sound.

I have no experience with going from a 30 cal to smaller cap though. I’ve used 30 cal caps on everything 30 cal and under. I’ve been contemplating getting a 223 cap though for use with 223 and 6mm.

They get shot on the same cans side by side constantly- and no one can tell which have a 30cal end cap and which has a 22cal. Maybe there are some designs that it makes a difference, but in all the cans that I/we have, it hasn’t made a difference.

Removable caps add weight and complexity, along with increased gas impacting the end cap.

A tighter bore all the way through will make a real difference. I'd be very interested in seeing how a 6mm or 6.5mm variant of this design performs.

@mxgsfmdpx have you ever noticed your orange suppressor covers in you scope FOV? i've never had an orange one, but are they a lot more noticeable vs darker / more natural color?
Orange can catch your eye a little bit more than other colors at the bottom of the image on low scope power. I've used orange vet wrap on my suppressors for a long time now and in my opinion it's not a major field issue at all.

If you're worried about it distracting you (which it shouldn't) you should be focused on target and reticle, then an earth tone color would likely be better.
