UM/S2H/Suppressors/Scopes and More!

No, but will be.

Keep in mind, this is not designed for large magnums- it is tailored for normal cartridges- 6.5cm, 6cm, 308, 22cm, 243… up to about 6.5 PRC. It also sounds good on the 6 UM. It may meter great on 300 WM- and it did sound good on the 20” 300 WM above; but that is not what it is being tailored for.
Will the same can work for 6 UM and a tikka 223?

Have you guys done any back to back / same condition readings with the Raptor 8 w/ 3" reflex versus this? The raptor is slightly longer and heavier and this isn't meant to necessarily perform better, those caveats were noted, just curious how they stack up to a OTB can that is already out in the wild.

0.740" OD is perfect, but (assuming the shoulder forms the seal) I think I'd prefer an internal 5/16" or 3/8" hex to 5/8" external wrench flats.
As far as I understand the threads are what seal things up, the shoulder is to squarely tighten a suppressor against so it stays put and concentric.

Any adapter you're going to use in an OTB suppressor you're gonna want to rockset / red locktite on to avoid/reduce the chances it gets stuck in the suppressor. So other than tightening it up once with the wrench flats its gonna be set and forget more or less.

I am considering the same. Have an eye on an AB10 but am waiting to hear reviews on this one as it is shorter and may be more hunting specific. Pending final specs and ease of purchasing.

I find this picture very telling - has the wiser precision quick stix, uses the straps. Seems I was right in my assessment to save my money. And the suppressor not being 7-8 inches off the end means it becomes a normal length rifle.

On the suppressor side, I’m very interested as I have no intention of going above a 20” 6.5 PRC (current primary) and putting together an 18” 6 creed or 22 creed in the next few months thanks to @hereinaz

I’d wait for a rokscope too but I’ll just get another 3-9 and call it good.
Off topic but what velocities are you getting with a 20" barrel in 6.5 prc? I have my finger hovering over the BUY NOW button on one for my CA MPR. Thanks.

Will the RokSlide10 discount code work when we order the UM suppressor?
*crosses fingers*
Also any updates on release date for RokScope? I've missed a few pages of posts/replies so I apoligize if this is a repeat question.

Forgive the ignorance and not wanting to scroll through 32 pages to find the answer, but...

I have a rifle going into a smith this week for some coating and bedding, and just decided to get the barrel cut and threaded for this suppressor - what threads do I tell him to do?
5/8-24, We wil have a 1/2"-28 adapter when we lanch the can if you end up doing that.

It depends on your barrel profile / how clear you are on what you want. IE if you go in with a tikka sporter barrel tell them to thread it to 5/8-24 and don't make your needs clear they might do just that and you'll have no shoulder to tighten a can against. You can have them add a collar to form the shoulder, which is what many folks do, but you'll want to make sure its clear what you need. You want 5/8-24 threads WITH a shoulder once the dust settles.

What size/dimensions should the shoulder be for this UM suppressor?

.75” OD would probably be ideal, I believe thunderbeast recommends 0.725” OD as a minimum for 5/8-24 threading. Something in that ballpark.

Kampfeld is popular for adding a shoulder to a sporter barrel if needed.

If your barrel OD is already large enough at the length you want it chopped you don’t need to worry about anything and just get it threaded 5/8-24.

Make sense?

It does, perfect. Thanks for taking the time to share the detail and explanations, it's appreciated.
