Ultralight Ultralight Rifles

Yeah mine came to 3lbs 12 ounces with an optic giving me clean shooting to 500 yards. Ain’t no factory anything coming close. The lightest factory rifle I’ve seen would be a full pound heavier, and likely more.

I think POF (patriot ordinance factory) also made a "revolt" that was a straight pull action... at least that's what I saw in a quick Google search.
Yes, I remember that, now that you mention it. I was looking into all of those manual ARs when starting down this path. Probably how POF got into the "manual action AR" mental file in the first place.

Has anyone done a ULUL in more of an AR-10 style platform? With maybe the BCA bolt action upper or anything that has been able to keep the weight down?
I had a POF Rogue 308win for a while, it was 5.9lbs. I bet a half pound or more could be shaved with a portless barrel with a thinner profile (could shave a lot more with a 22CM chambering and a pencil profile to match the shaw barrel) A few ounces could be shaved ditching the gas system parts, another 5-6 ounces with a lighter stock, another 4-6 oz for a lighter forward grip, efc. I think getting it under 4.5lbs would be doable... but without a poly lpk or CF lower, I think getting under 4lbs would be challenging.
