I was inneffectively trying to express my sympathy for @Taudisio because H335 is treating me very well so far. But yes, I forgot my twist rate is a little different and could add some variation between our barrel performance.

Is the juice worth the squeeze to buy some 95 TMKs and experiment? Those who have used it, is performance noticeably better than an ELD-X, to potentially lose some effective range for gaining what the heavier TMK has to offer?

Not necessarily looking for something crazy light, but more an economical beater under 6 lbs all day.

What part of SEAK are you out of?
 
In other ULUL news. Early on in the thread some guys were talking about 6mm max. Did anyone ever build one?
I have a buddy that just got an upper from sons of liberty and is shooting the 103 eldx 2640 fps.
I do like the 6x45, but I still think if my state didn’t have the 6mm law for some species, I would be all 223. Always curious about the new stuff. I doubt that shooting those slightly heavier bullets with good velocity would make any real world difference, but it might work well with a solo upper….

Hopefully I should have a 6mm MAX barrel, dies and brass coming from BC Precision for a Solo build. Should be the same profile as the 6x45 barrels Satern is making for the group buy.

I'm hopeful it works really well; I do think it has the potential of being the "ultimate" chambering for the Solo.

It's for an article on the 6mm MAX, but I'll definitely detail my results here as well. If you’re interested, it might be worthwhile contacting BC Precision. If there's enough interest, maybe they'd stock some of the unported 6mm MAX barrels for Solo builders.

I’d love to see a 10.5” or 12.5” 6mm Max in a portless barrel with profile close to the Shaw (I assume that’s similar to the Satern?).

Yes, the Satern was based on the Shaw so they're pretty similar. I imagine that Satern could make that pretty easily.
 
I picked up the BCA bolt action complete upper , since the upper was like $15 more than just the upper receiver.

After I saw @packgoatguy mill out his Fostech upper, I haven't been able to shake the idea. And I already had one on the bench after switching to a Solo upper.

I sold my mill a few moves ago and don't know anyone with one locally, so had no choice but to break out the cordless drill and files. My row of holes was just slightly too low--I'll blame the lack of a height gauge--but it'll do.
